A Passion for Service, A Vision for Kwara

The LOB Foundation was born out of Lawal Balqees Opeyemi’s deep personal passion for service, compassion for the less privileged, and a strong belief that every life deserves dignity, opportunity, and care. Having witnessed firsthand the struggles faced by vulnerable children and low-income families, especially in access to education and basic health awareness, she was moved to take action and become part of the solution.

Transforming Lives: One Story at a Time

Lawal Balqees Opeyemi founded the LOB Foundation from a place of deep compassion and real-life experience. Witnessing the daily struggles of children and low-income families—especially the barriers to education, health, and basic dignity—she was moved to act. What started as a personal burden in her heart grew into a mission to serve. Through school fee sponsorship for over 100 students, provision of learning materials, and ongoing health and safety awareness programs, her work is already transforming lives across communities in Kwara State. Her vision is clear and powerful: every child counts, every life matters, and no one should be left behind.

Core Values: Guiding Our Actions

The work of LOB Foundation is driven by the personal values of its founder, Lawal Balqees Opeyemi. These values shape every project, decision, and community impact:

  1. Compassion: She believes true leadership begins with empathy. This value translates into direct support for vulnerable children and families through school fee sponsorships, learning materials, and health outreach programs.
  2. Equity & Inclusion: Every child matters—regardless of religion, gender, or background. This value is seen in how the foundation supports both Christian and Muslim communities and reaches boys and girls equally.
  3. Service to Humanity: Service is not an option but a responsibility. This drives the foundation’s hands-on approach to community development, health awareness, and grassroots engagement.
  4. Integrity & Accountability: The founder believes in transparent, honest impact. Funds and resources are carefully used for their intended purpose, and every intervention is documented and measurable.
  5. Sustainable Impact: Rather than short-term aid, the focus is on long-term change through education, preventive healthcare, and empowerment.

"Balqees's unwavering commitment to the people of Kwara State is truly inspiring. Her vision for a brighter future drives everything we do at LOB Foundation."
